A facade is generally one side of the exterior of a building, especially the front, but sometimes the sides and rear. The word comes from the French language "façade", literally meaning "frontage" or "face".
In architecture, the facade is often the most important from a design standpoint. Facade sets the tone for the rest of the building. Facade is often being the indentity of the owner of the house or the building. That's why a lot of people used to design their facade as unique as possible. So other people will recognize it easier as their property.
Shape, colours, and materials of facade is vary, depends on the owner's choise. For tropical house, natural materials and colours are must. Wood, bamboo or dried leaves are popular materials for tropical house's facade.
